Cam Balser has gone through 26 pairs of shoes so far, during the 10,000 miles he’s run around the the United States.

He’s got more to go, as he heads into the home stretch. On average, he goes about 40 miles a day. “I went 52 on Tuesday,” he shared.

The Indiana native started in October last year in Cleveland, and he expects to finish up on August 3rd.

He’s always loved to run, and wanted to dive into something as far as he could. He hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams.

We caught up with him on Wednesday after he’d run into Superior. “This is the 33rd state,” he said. “It’s been amazing. I haven’t had one bad experience.”

He pushes a small trailer to carry gear like a tent and water filter.

More importantly, he meets some great people along the way who are ready to help him out.

On Wednesday, a man named Ben from St. Paul met him to run a few miles together.
