Jewelry trends that shine from Genereau & Co.
The men behind Genereau & Co. in downtown Duluth have decades of combined experience in the jewelry business.
The store opened in the Greysolon building in the summer of 2024.
“We’ve always had something in mind about how we think people should be treated when they come into a store, what kind of experience they should have, the selection that they can come and look at, and that’s our main priority,” Kyle Genereau said.
Andrew Genereau said they also wanted to provide something different than more corporate options.
“Having 50-some years of experience and 50-some years of connections with different vendors, we thought we’d keep some of the things that are more unique and try to bring those to Duluth,” Andrew said.
They said they’re seeing a few ring trends: diamonds included on men’s bands, delicate mountings, and a comeback for yellow gold.
“I started in ’94, so 30 years ago, everything was yellow gold pretty much. And then about five years after that, platinum and white gold became really popular,” Andrew Genereau said. “And 3-5 years ago, yellow gold has really become a popular look again. Just the warmer metal colors of all ages seem to like it.”
They also sell watches and employ a master watchmaker with the highest certification one can get.
