Jobs with an impact this summer and fall
The Summer Impact Program is part of AmeriCorps, and there are openings in reading and math core programs.
The Summer Impact Corps, an AmeriCorps program, will be working with kids in communities across Minnesota.
The deadline to apply for summer jobs is today, May 8. But there are many fall positions open.
Throughout the year, Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Early Learning Corps members work with children to eliminate educational disparities and help them be successful learners.
They need about 1,700 people statewide. Currently, more kids need tutors than tutors who are working.
Tutors earn up to about $17 stipend per hour served, plus up to $5,000 for tuition or student loans. People can apply for Minnesota and Wisconsin positions at Join.ReadingandMath.org.
