Learn how to communicate better in the workplace

Communicating better at work

Communicating in the work place can be stressful, but there is one tool to use - apply curiousity to the discussion.

Communication can always be hard at work, especially since many of us have never had any formal lessons about communication in the workplace.

Stacy Crawford from Klear Water Coaching and Wellness brings us a couple tools for better communication when things become more difficult.

The number one thing is to apply curiosity to the discussion. If there’s a miscommunication use curiosity in questions like “what did you mean by that?”

For deadlines be very open about your expectations and very clear how you want them done and when as well. Stacy says not everyone is a direct communicator, but when it comes to tasks it’s very important to be direct.

And if anything businesses and organizations can reach out for professional help. Never be afraid to reach out to a coach to come in to improve communication in the workplace.
