Learning about emotions with ‘Little Baby Santa’

Trish Berger took what she learned in the classroom and created an interactive book called "Little Baby Santa."

Trish Berger, a former teacher, took what she learned in the classroom and created an interactive book called “Little Baby Santa.”

The premise is that even Santa had to learn about what was naughty and what was nice in childhood.

The book comes with a Santa cutout and an emoji emotions wheel to reinforce social-emotional learning, decision-making, and relationship skills.

“I created this one for birth through 8 years, but this can be modified for any age,” Berger said. “I did this for some of my high schoolers, even.”

She hopes it brings kids and families joy.

“It’s really a wonderful interactive learning experience,” Berger said. “And it works on the social-emotional skills so that they can learn about autonomy, that their emotions and their reactions and their behaviors are fully under their control.”

It’s sold on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.
