Mike Berg is normally the one arranging the Grand Marshal’s presence in the Apple Festival Parade, but this year, he’ll be the one riding in the convertible.
Berg is a 30-year volunteer who has helped organize the floats, bands, and organizations that make up the parade down Rittenhouse Avenue.
He owns the Garage Mahal Orchard, a 1-acre hobby farm where people can pick their own blueberries or buy them pre-picked. According to Bayfield.org, his fruit can also be found in Super One stores and at Mount Royal Market in Duluth.
