Mix Cosmetiques moves to Superior for more class space

Mix Cosmetics opens a larger space to turn their guests into cosmetics mixologists.

The locally owned cosmetics business, Mix Cosmetiques has moved from Duluth to Superior. The business says they moved because they didn’t have enough space for their classes.

Right now they have set up in a temporary space on tower avenue located right next to Angie’s Closet. Owner Lanae Rhoads says, “I kept having people ask me for parties that were a little bit bigger than I could host. I could host maybe 10 or 12 people comfortably. And then people said, “I have 18 friends, I have 20 friends can we all get together?” Oh, we can’t. There is no space for that.”

Lanae says the Superior community has been extremely welcoming. “It’s been really great having the foot traffic. People are seeing me,” she says. When talking about her business Lanae has been surprised at the growth. She says “I thought it was all fun. [This] little business that we’ll just enjoy. And people have grabbed hold of it. They love the fact that it’s clean, organic, that they can make it themselves, know exactly what’s in the product, and say, ‘I created this color and nobody has it except me.'”
