There are a couple new tours this summer at Split Rock Lighthouse.
Keeper Hayes Scriven is giving a peek behind the curtain of his own life with the Keepers Tour. It’s a private, guided 60-minute tour that runs before the site even opens to the public, at 9 a.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It’s available through Oct. 21.
Another hour-long tour will show Split Rock visitors how the lighthouse was built. It’s called the Conquering the Cliffs Tour. Guides started taking people on the cliffs tours July 1. They happen twice a day, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Another tour will start on Sept. 21. The Grand Views Tour will take people on a hike through the park to see different angles of the lighthouse.
