Northland Figure Skating Competition showcases art and athleticism
The 45th annual Northland Figure Skating Competition is coming to the DECC this weekend, bringing 600 skaters to the area.
Hundreds of ice skaters from the region and beyond are coming to Duluth this weekend. They will give it their all in the 45th Annual Northland Figure Skating Competition. You’re invited to watch and celebrate the art and athleticism.
Events take space at the DECC Arena, AMSOIL Arena, and MARS Lakeview Arena Thursday through Sunday from January 16 – 19. Here’s a list:
Thursday
Quiet Rink Events: Spectators are encouraged to maintain silence.
- DECC Arena: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Spins and Jumps Competition (No music)
- AMSOIL Arena: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Compulsory, Spins, and Jumps Competition (No music)
Friday
Freeskate programs with music.
- DECC Arena: 8:00 AM – 9:30 PM
- AMSOIL Arena: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- MARS Lakeview Arena: 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Saturday
- DECC Arena: 8:00 AM – 9:30 PM, Freeskate and Spin Events All Day
- MARS Lakeview Arena: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Spins, Jumps, and Team Events
Sunday
- DECC Arena: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Compulsory and Freeskate Events
- AMSOIL Arena: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Freeskates, Lyrical Pop, and Team Events
It is free to attend but costs $10 to park at the DECC.
