While natural surface trails are still wet and closed, Duluth parks will soon be in their summer prime.
The Duluth Parks & Recreation Department is preparing for a busy season of people enjoying the city’s parks and taking advantage of the programming offered in them.
“Our 40th year for Chester concert series is back this year, so that’s a big one. We have a lot of different programs that go through different parks, so we have archery, we have pop-up programs, we have story and play with the library, pop-up splash pads,” Duluth Parks & Recreation Assistant Manager Alicia Watts said. “You name it, we’ve got it.”
Watts said there is a good mix of free and fee-based programming, but she said they keep costs low no matter what.
