Renegade Trail Run supports local veterans

The Renegade Trail Run has been moved to a new season, but it’s still on the same great trail.

It’s Saturday, June 19 at the Redhead Mountain Bike Park in Chisholm.

The event is in support of United for Veterans which fills gaps in local veterans’ services, on the Iron Range and in Koochiching and Lake of the Woods counties.

All are invited to participate whether, you’re competitive or not-so competitive, or in for the distance.

Or you can even ruck as United Way Creative Director, Katy Lofquist says, “This was inspired by the fact that event is a fundraiser for veterans. So, military training includes rucking, carrying a 50-pound bag on your back so while you hike the course.”

“That was new last year, it was a huge hit. So, we are doing that again this year.”

Plus there is a free beer or rootbeer at the end of the course for you.

Prices increase on June 14, so sign up before then and be guaranteed a t-shirt.
