Shining a light on handwashing

The Science Siblings looks closely at germs - what is the correct way to wash your hands.

With illness going around, the “science siblings” are shining a light on the importance of handwashing.

Paige and Adam Jacobson explained that germs “are a microscopic organisms or tiny particles that live on a person’s skin.”

The best way to prevent those germs from making us sick is to wash our hands for at least 20 seconds, they say. And they demonstrated the difference under a blacklight.

“And don’t forget to use the correct cleaners on your phone, remote control, pencils, and doorknobs as hands can pick up germs from them too,” Adam said.
