Aubrey DeBettignies has been doing interior design through her business, The Altered Abode, for years. And a new dream is coming true for her this summer with the opening of her new store, Shop the Altered Abode.

It’s off of 20th Ave. W in Lincoln Park, where DLH Clothing used to be.

“My vision was really inspired by the designs that I create,” DeBettignies said. “So when I’m designing spaces, I’m bringing in outdoor elements. The Minnesota Northwoods is very much present in my designs.”

She has lots of curated items from other small businesses for sale. She has a lot of favorites, but right now she’s loving the Greenhouse candles, pre-made gift boxes, and Saarde soaps.

“There’s just a lot of items really inspired by the Minnesota Northwoods I feel like in a refined way,” she said. “So you’re not going to find a lot of moose print or deer everywhere. But there is an inspiration from all of the nature around us.”

Shop the Altered Abode will celebrate its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, June 29. There will be bubbly things to sip while shopping, giveaways, and a free gift with purchase.
