Summer Bucket List: Park Point picnic

Looking at our Summer Bucket lists, Duluth Mom, Andrea and Charlee Jang went on a picnic with Baihly Warfield

The Lift came up with a Summer Bucket List, and one of Baihly’s items was to have a picnic on Park Point.

She checked it off with Andrea and Charlee Jang of Duluth Mom. It’s one of many easy, free activities to include in the last few weeks of summer break.

“I like to not reinvent the wheel, or … not spend a lot of money when there are a lot of free things going on to entertain kids. We take advantage of the library, the craft times and the clubs and the summer reading that they have going on,” Andrea said. “Parks and Rec partners with all kinds of neat places here in Duluth. We did a bike clinic up at Spirit Mountain that was free.”

She also suggests simply getting other people involved.

“Another thing that is completely free and really benefits a lot of people is just sending an invite,” Jang said. “Like, you invited us to come have a picnic today. And it’s so great.”
