That’s Old News: Ondoro breaks Grandma’s Marathon record
The Lift remembers Dominic Ondoro's record-breaking Grandma's Marathon run in 2014.
It’s Grandma’s Marathon week so The Lift looked back on some past Grandma’s champions.
There are a handful of former champions competing the in the 2024 marathon, including Dominic Ondoro.
In 2014, Ondoro broke Dick Beardsley’s marathon record, finishing in two hours, nine minutes and 6 seconds.
Beardsley had sent and held his record since 1981.
When he broke the record, Ondoro had only competed in two United States marathons.
In addition to Dominic Ondoro, five-time champion Elisha Barno will be competing among the Grandma’s Marathon crowd.
