That’s Old News: Record-setting feats
Throwback Thursday 2003
Twenty years ago, two world records were set at the Great Lakes Aquarium. But they had very little to do with the fish.
Tenth-degree Black Belt Dr. Dan Netherland brought 76 red bricks with his bare hands in 25 seconds.
His son, Chad Netherland, was the director of the Great Lakes Aquarium at the time. He also set a record by lying on a bed of nails and having 692 pounds of concrete pounded on his chest with a sledgehammer.
