Bringing Broadway to the DECC
'Chicago' kicks off the Broadway At The DECC event.
Tuesday, January 21st the hit musical Chicago opens at the DECC, kicking off their new Broadway at the DECC series.
Chicago is the 1st of 4 national touring shows coming to the convention center this year. Chicago– January 21, 2025 Pretty WomanThe Musical– February 16, 2025 Mean GirlsThe Musical– April 7, 2025 Riverdance– May 17, 2025
Tuesday night will be the only time available to see the Chicago. You can find ticket information here.
Chicago is one of the longest running musicals on Broadway. It follows two murderous women who get locked up and twist their crimes to become famous. Songs include: All That Jazz, Razzle Dazzle, and the ultra-famous Cell Block Tango.
Ellie Roddy, who plays leading lady Roxie Hart, says doing this tour was a dream for her, ” It’s the biggest honor of my entire career of my life, when I was I little girl I would dream of doing something like this especially like a show like Chicago that’s so well known… when I was a kid I would watch these shows and would be like, ‘that person. I want to be like that person when I grow up,’ and this time I get to be like the one on stage, it’s a really crazy full circle feeling.”
