The power of rituals
Rituals have strong powers in our lives. Creating milestone markers and other traditions can help ease anxiety or stress.
Rituals may not be a word we use or even something we think about on daily basis, but we likely have a few them- like our morning coffee, a yoga practice, or an exercise routine.
Stacy Crawford of Klear Water Coaching and Wellness says rituals can be cultural and even passed down from our ancestors, marking family traditions, holiday celebrations, and life events.
She told The Lift, “They have sort of these invisible power. They bring families together… and communities together.”
“If we think about it they also mark transitions. That’s often really important when we think of weddings, funerals, and all that happens in between.” Stacy says that sometimes, a ritual- or tradition- can make a struggle into something more approachable.
