Brigette Williams of Living Balanced says skaters can improve balance and agility.
First stand in athletic stance- with your front knee slightly bent.
Keep hips and chest at 45 degree angle. Jump to the side landing on your foot, while maintaining that athletic stance.
As you progress in this movement, lean down further and pick up the pace.
Complete 10 steps per a side across 3 reps.
