Jen Maki, a travel agent for Divine Destinations, stopped by The Lift to explain how we can make our holiday this season go smoothly.
“It’s important to book early, if you haven’t book already it’s probably at a ridiculous price,” Jen tells us. But now is a great time to get a head start and book travel for next years holidays.
Jen’s next tip is to show up at the airport early. You can encounter a variety of problems- like Mechanical issues, staffing issues, or weather delays. “You don’t want to be stranded or stuck. And if you take that first flight out of the day you’re less likely to come into any sort of hiccups or issues that we hear so much about.”
Jen’s biggest tip is make sure that you have travel insurance. This can reimburse you for lost bags, cancelled flights, or a hotel room because of an unexpected delay.
