University of Minnesota Duluth’s chapter of Engineers Without Border is in the final stages of their clean water project.
They are holding an event from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday at Hoops Brewing, giving an update on the years-long project basic Nyansakia, Kenya.
Nyansakia is a Kenyan village where residents previously had to walk many miles to retrieve water, and the water available was often unsafe to drink. During the student’s last holiday break in December and January they began the process of constructing tap stands.
Their plan is to return again in December to finish the job.
