Using NaNoWriMo to write a book
November is National Novel Writing Month, and the tool helped Gina Ramsey get started with her own book.
November is National Novel Writing Month. This tradition started in 1999 with a challenge- to write 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days. It’s grown into a non-profit and tool known as NaNoWriMo.
It has a track record of transforming ordinary people into writers.
Local Author Gina Ramsey used it to get her start on “Burnt Gloveboxes.’ She’s doing a talk 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Duluth Public Library’s Main Branch. She’ll detail her experience using the tool during the talk.
This is also part of a Lake Superior Writers group series in preparation for November.
