Vietnam veteran stories wanted for anniversary commemoration
The Minnesota Department of Veterans affairs is looking for Vietnam veterans to share their stories.
This June, they are commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War with a three-day event June 13-15 at the Mall of America.
Veterans will be interviewed and have their stories archived and preserved so that future generations can hear directly from those who were there. Family members are also invited to participate and share about their own experiences back home.
It’s part of an oral history project collecting the ranges of experiences during that time.
