Volunteers needed on the Superior Hiking Trail
The Superior Hiking Trail Association is looking for help maintaining the trail.
Due to higher than normal rainfall, the Superior Hiking Trail Association is looking for extra volunteers throughout July to help cut back grass and brush. This maintenance will make the trail more accessible and provide a better user experience. It also prevents more work from being needed down the line.
Volunteers will build structures, repair the trail, and keep the trail corridor opening by cutting logs, brush, and grass. You don’t need a specific skill set to get involved.
It takes over 8,000 volunteer hours to maintain the Superior Hiking Trail.
Aside from the specific would cutting back the grass and brush, volunteer events are held regularly throughout October.
