What’s Brewing: Color-changing summer beverage
Dennis Thielke with the Spice & Tea Exchange showcases some of their refreshing color-changing beverages.
The Spice & Tea Exchange in Duluth has a fun beverage to entertain while staying hydrated this summer.
If you mix their Blue Raspberry Crush Herbal Tea with lemon juice, the drink changes color as you mix it. There’s no caffeine, so it’s good for kids. Or it can adult-ified by adding a distilled spirit of some kind.
Dennis Thielke, one of the owners of the Spice & Tea Exchange, also shared some of the health benefits of tea.
The Thielkes say the Blue Raspberry tea offers anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial benefits and can even reduce fevers. One of their iced tea suggestions is a mint basil, which reportedly relieves headaches, alleviates seasonal allergies, and boosts energy levels.
