Girl Scout Cookies will be on tap at an event June 29.
The event features nine breweries and cider makers that will craft cookie-inspired beers and ciders based on your favorite Girl Scout treats or to be paired with them.
Girl Scouts Lake and Pines Development Director Mack Peters says the cookie selling season went well and they saw great support from the Twin Ports community.
“This is just another way for us to raise funds. These dollars are specifically earmarked for scholarship dollars for girls to go to camp, get uniforms, have their membership covered,” Peters said. “Pretty much anything that they need to participate in Girl Scouts.”
Wild State Cider is participating in Cookies on Tap for the third or fourth time. They’ll bring a variety of ciders to pair with cookies.
“And then starting on the 29th for the full month of July, we’ll have a cider on tap that will pair with the gluten-free caramel chocolate chip cookies,” Allison Longley said. “Our ciders are gluten-free and that cookie is gluten-free, so it seemed like a good combination.
Cookies on Tap is happening from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at Clyde Iron Works. There will also be appetizers, live music, and a silent auction. Money raised supports leadership programming and scholarships for Twin Ports area Girl Scouts.
Tickets are $15 for a driver, $30 ahead of time, or $50 for a VIP experience.
