What’s Brewing: Fall coffee flights
Breweries and cider makers often offer flights for people to try more than one beverage, and now that trend is coming to coffee.
2540 Coffee House in Superior has a fall flight menu. You get four of their seasonal drinks served hot or cold for $14.
“With a little bit of mathematical work and some chemistry stuff, we were able to create 5-ounce size drinks off of our seasonal menu,” Christyna Foster said.
The fall flight includes: a Maple Cinnamon Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Press, Salted Caramel Apple Cider, and a Pumpkin Latte.
“Normally you would find flights at like a brewery or a winery, and I thought, why not coffee?” Foster said.
The flavors will change when they move to their winter menu.
2540 Coffee House, which is on the 1400 block of Belknap Street, is an independent business, but they support the work done next door at the Ruth Free Store and the Ruth House.
“The mission of this place was to engage the community, just welcome them in. It’s a bright, cheery space,” Foster said.
They post menu updates on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
