Among the many Halloween events leading up to the holiday is the Monster Bash.
It’s a brand new event and goes from 12-8 p.m. at the Duluth Area Family YMCA’s Camp Miller in Sturgeon Lake. Moose Lake Brewing will be part of the beer garden for adults.
“It is a 125-year-old camp,” Duluth Area Family YMCA President and CEO Sara Cole said, “and has just been allowing kids to have magical summers for all those years.”
Shawn Wigg with Moose Lake Brewing went to Camp Miller as a kid.
“I remember … we went a little bit later in the year, so we’d go in the hot tub, we’d run down to the beach and go floating across the lake in the boats,” Wigg said. “I caught a big walleye one time.”
The Monster Bash will include ziplining, axe throwing, a climbing tower, campfires with s’mores, and early trick or treating at the cabins on the grounds.
It’s $5 per person. Find more information on Facebook.
