Not only does Naturalight make great-smelling candles in scents like Coffee House, now it has a coffee house to match.

Owner Kyia Plummer-Caven just opened Naturalight Coffee at the end of January. The space next to her retail shop had opened up, so she decided to expand and bring a coffee bar to the second floor of the DeWitt-Seitz building.

“We noticed that there was just kind of a lack of local coffee shops or coffee areas in the Canal Park area,” she said. “It just kind of felt fitting because our business is so formatted around self care and just treating yourself, things that bring you joy.”

The bestsellers in the first couple weeks of brewing coffee include the Minnesota Maple Latte and the Miel Latte, which includes honey and cinnamon.

Naturalight is open seven days a week.
