Mesabi Metallics team cleans up 32 bags of trash from along Highway 169
A stretch of Highway 169 between Nashwauk and Keewatin is looking cleaner.
Wednesday, employees of Mesabi Metallics Company picked up 32 bags worth of trash. Mesabi Metallics sponsors this portion of the highway through the State’s Adopt a Highway volunteer program.
“When it comes to taking care of our community, Mesabi Metallics employees always step up,” Joe Broking, Mesabi Metallics President & CEO. “One of our top values at Mesabi is sustainability. That starts with our environmentally conscious operations and extends to our commitment to promoting clean, safe communities. The highway cleanup initiative is a meaningful way for our team to give back to the community and live our values, and I’m proud of our team’s dedication.”
This is the second employee cleanup that Mesabi has held on this stretch of Highway 169, which the company has sponsored since 2023.
