Proctor trap team wins conference behind state's top shooters

The Proctor High School clay target trap team has claimed first place in the conference for this 2024 Fall season. This marks the fifth straight season Proctor has won the conference, with their streak starting in 2020.

Austin Carlson claimed the male conference title, while also finishing tied for first in the state with a season average of 24.8. Laine Graves took third in the conference with an average of 24.3.

In the female division, Proctor’s Layla Eckstrom placed first, with a season average of 21.9, and Leah Abbott took second in the conference with an average of 21.3.

Around 4,000 athletes competed in the fall trap shooting season in Minnesota.
