On a weekend that was supposed to be met with cheers and smiles, the UMD volleyball team dropped their second straight match, this time to #2 Concordia St. Paul in straight sets.
UMD’s Pink match saw 900 people pack Romano Gymnasium, but the Bulldogs home record dropped to 5-6.
The Golden Bears won the first set 26-24 after winning two straight points tied at 24-24, and then carried that momentum into a 25-20 and 25-17 victory.
For UMD, Cianna Selbitschka had the most kills and blocks.
The Bulldogs will try to bounce back from the tough weekend on Wednesday, when they visit Winona State.
