Friday night was an offensive battle between the 3rd ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers and 4th ranked UMD Bulldogs women’s hockey teams, however the Gophers offense outpaced the Bulldogs, 4-1.

Sydney Morrow broke open the scoring for the Gophers in the first period, but was quickly met with an equalizing goal by Hanna Baskin, who scored just a minute and a half later to knot the game up at 1-1.

From there though, the Gophers scored three unanswered goals to put the Bulldogs away.

Despite the four goals allowed, Ève Gascon turned in a brilliant performance, tallying 48 saves.
