#7 UMD women’s hockey blanked by #1 Ohio State

The #7 UMD women’s hockey team was shutout by #1 Ohio State on Friday night, 3-0.

The win snapped the Bulldogs three game win streak, as the Buckeyes scored once in each period.

A big reason for the Bulldogs struggles was their lack of shots on goal, as the deficit between the two teams was 38-14 in favor of the Buckeyes.

The UMD defense did impress despite the score, however, as they blocked a season high 27 shots, the most since the 2022 NCAA Frozen Four Semifinals.

UMD will look to avoid the weekend sweep on Saturday at 1 p.m.
