#7 UMD women’s hockey dominates Bemidji State, completes weekend sweep
A hat trick from Reece Hunt was just a microcosm of the #7 UMD women’s hockey’s offensive output on Saturday, as the Bulldogs beat Bemidji State 7-0.
The first period had Reece Hunt’s name all over it, as the former Bemidji State Beaver scored two of her three goals within two minutes of each other, giving the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead in the first period.
Hunt then started off the second period by scoring her third of the day and her 11th of the season.
Three other Bulldogs scored in the second, including Grace Sadura, Mannon McMahon, and Danielle Burgen.
The lead would increase to 6-0 going into the third period, where Burgen would score again.
The Bulldogs completed the weekend sweep and season sweep of the Beavers and will turn to face the #1 team in the nation, Ohio State.
