#8 UMD women’s hockey swept by #4 Minnesota
The UMD women's hockey team couldn't overcome a two goal deficit against the Golden Gophers on Saturday.
With 15 total power plays, the #8 UMD women’s hockey game against #4 Minnesota got off to a slow start, but ultimately it was the Golden Gophers with a decisive 3-1 win on Saturday.
After a scoreless first period, the Gophers came out quickly and scored just a minute into the second period, followed up by a shorthanded goal just minutes later.
Gabby Krause scored her third goal of the year to cut the deficit down by one goal, but less than a minute later, the Gophers would strike yet again, ultimately being the final blow.
The Bulldogs will look to get back on track on Friday against Colgate at AMSOIL Arena.
