On Tuesday the top boys and girls high school skaters from the Duluth and Iron Range areas will take over the ice at the Duluth Heritage Center.
The Essentia Health All-Star Games are returning for their 24th year. On Monday each team hit the ice for practice ahead of the season finale event.
“It’s just nice to have the whole community come together and take out the rivalries and just play with each other,” said Duluth Northern Stars junior defender Lucy Fellman.
“Being able to see them showcase their talent and what they have been working for, just like the boys have for all their career. For some of them, this might be their last kind of hurrah, right. So giving them that opportunity and being able to see them here is going to be awesome,” added Team Duluth coach Paddy Elsmore. She is the head coach for Rock Ridge girls hockey.
A total of 68 players earned roster spots in the All-Star games.
The puck for the girl’s match drops Tuesday at 5:30pm. The boy’s game is set for 7:30pm.
