Baskin, Van Wieren to join USA Hockey Women’s National Festival
UMD's Hanna Baskin, led all WCHA defender's in scoring over the weekend, resulting in a win of the WCHA Defender of the Week award.
Two UMD Bulldogs will have the chance to do just that in the coming weeks.
Hannah Baskin and Clara Van Wieren will be joining two other former Bulldogs, Gabbie Hughes and Sydney Brodt, in Lake Placid for the USA Hockey National Women’s Festival.
The four Bulldogs make up part of 75 players who are either playing professionally or at the collegiate level at the event.
Along with the under-18 select player development camp, USA hockey will select rosters for the U.S under-18 select and U.S. collegiate select teams, who will each face Canada.
The USA hockey women’s national festival is set for August 4-11 at the Olympic Center.
