Bemidji State proves to be too much for UMD Football
Bemidji State stormed into Malarky Stadium and beat the UMD football team on Saturday, 38-31.
Despite the 38-31 score, Saturday’s game between Bemidji State and UMD seemed like it was miles apart.
Bemidji State, who beat UMD handily last week, jumped out to a two touchdown lead. The Bulldogs faced a 21 point deficit two separate times.
UMD would score just a minute and a half into the 4th quarter to make it a 38-24 game, and would score again just four minutes later to cut the deficit to just 7, but couldn’t get the job done with nine minutes left.
It’s the second loss of the year for UMD, and it could prove to be a crucial one as the playoffs loom around the corner.
Next Saturday is Senior Day at Malarky Stadium, as the Bulldogs will host Concordia St. Paul.
