Bob DeMeyer retires after 18 years as Superior High School football coach

On Monday, Superior High School’s head football coach Bob DeMeyer retired after 18 years at the helm of the Spartans.
DeMeyer notched 80 wins in his time as the Spartans head coach.
The superior native was a three sport athlete for the Spartans in the 1980’s, and later played football for the University of Wisconsin-Superior after graduation.
DeMeyer led Superior to a Big Rivers Conference championship in 2014, in addition to eight trips to the playoffs, the most of any coach in program history.
The Spartans have not named a replacement for DeMeyer yet.
