The University of Minnesota kicked off their annual Pro Day for football Wednesday. It’s an opportunity for scouts, coaches, and front office personnel to catch local pro hopefuls in action.
Of those attending included former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) offensive lineman Brent Laing.
“I think I saw a stat that the last person that they invited to the combine was 1990. I’m really appreciative of my time that I had at Duluth, it was awesome. I loved all my coaches, a lot of them are here supporting me today. Just wanted to come out here kind of get Duluth’s name out there and show up for them.”
Laing was joined at Pro Day by fellow Bulldogs wide receiver Armani Carmickle and tight end Zach Ojile.
Representatives from all 32 NFL teams were in attendance, including Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell and General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.
