Caitlin Kraemer wins WCHA Rookie of the Week

The UMD women’s squad put up 13 goals this weekend, and it seemed inevitable that someone was going home with an award. That someone is Caitlin Kraemer, who claims her third WCHA Rookie of the Week award of the season.
Kraemer recorded her first collegiate hat trick along with two assists for a career-high five points in the Bulldogs’ 9-1 win Saturday, which marks the first Bulldogs freshman hat trick since 2009.
Kraemer now has 12 points on the season and is tied for the most team’s most goals with eight.
