CJ Ham hosting Vikings charity softball game to help Twin Ports youth
Adam Thielen may no longer be on the Minnesota Vikings, but his buddy C.J. Ham isn’t letting that be the excuse his charity softball game goes under.
The Vikings fullback is all geared up to host the match at the end of May. It will benefit both the Adam Thielen Foundation and Ham Family Scholarship Fund, which supports students of color in the Duluth-Superior area.
“For us, education is extremely important. We know, statistically, in the BIPOC youth, BIPOC students’ graduation rates are a little bit lower. So what can we do to help with that? We just want to be able to bring a little bit of hope to those students in that area,” Ham shared.
Ham and his wife, Stephanie, created the scholarship fund in 2022.
The charity softball game will be held Thursday, May 30 at CHS Field in St. Paul. It’s slated to pit Vikings offensive players against the defensive players. Beforehand, there will be a home run derby. The family-friendly night will also have in-game giveaways, a silent auction, and more.
