Cloquet native Ava Carlson named MIAC Rookie of the Year
Former Cloquet volleyball standout Ava Carlson was named Rookie of the Year by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) on Wednesday.
The Augsburg volleyball freshman led all first-year players with an average of 2.97 points per set. She finished the season with 243 kills and 287 digs. In 39 conference sets, she hit .205, and averaged 2.51 kills and 2.67 digs per set.
Carlson becomes the first-ever Auggie to earn MIAC Rookie of the Year honors.
