Both CSS men’s and women’s basketball took on Macalester on Saturday, both with varying results. The Saints men’s squad couldn’t complete a comeback, falling 75-69, while Kloey Lind’s layup with seven seconds left in the game propelled the Saints to a 51-50 win.

For the men, an early hole was too steep to climb out of, as the Saints found themselves down 13 at halftime. In the second half, the Saints outscored Macalester by seven, but couldn’t put enough defense together down the stretch to close out a win.

Moe Washington led the way with 18 points.

CSS next takes the court on Wednesday when they face St. Olaf.

On the women’s side, Kloey Lind poured in 18 points, along with the game winner, in a thrilling win, good for the Saints 6th of the season.

Despite a slow offensive start, the Saints got it together quickly and out together a good effort on both sides of the floor.

CSS now moves on to take on St. Olaf on Wednesday.
