Five different scorers lead CSS men's hockey past Saint Mary's

On Friday evening, the College of St. Scholastica men’s hockey team took down St. Mary’s 5-1, earning their tenth win of the season.

With only a minute left in the first period, CSS’s Evan Pahos would put the Saints on the board. Saints would extend their lead to 2-0 halfway through the second period with a goal from Gavin Gunderson, St. Mary’s would strike back on the power play with a goal from Cooper Smyl to make things a one point game. Still in the second period Kieran Chung would net one for the Saints to extend their lead to 2-1. In the second half of the third period, Saint’s Brodie Girod would go unassisted in his goal, followed shortly by Tristan Schewchuck with another goal for CSS.

St. Scholastica’s goaltender Eino Rissanen would make 48 saves throughout the game, while St. Mary’s goaltender A.J. Ruskowski would make 26 saves throughout the game.
