CSS men’s hockey suffers shutout loss to Augsburg in regular season home finale
On Friday the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) men’s hockey team suffered a 6-0 shutout loss to Augsburg University in their regular season home finale at Mars Lakeview Arena in Duluth.
The Auggies put away three goals in the first period to take an early lead. They would add two more in the second and their final in the third to defeat the Saints 6-0.
CSS goaltender Jack Bostedt would make 24 saves, matching Augsburg’s Samuel Vyletelka with 24 saves.
The Saints (15-8-1) will close out this series, and regular season play, visiting Augsburg Saturday for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
Augsburg currently leads the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with 35 points, while CSS sits third with 26.
