CSS men’s soccer earns second win of the year on home turf

The CSS men’s soccer team had just one win going into Monday’s matchup against the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, but earned their second win of the season by way of a 2-1 score.

The Saints offense came in the first half, with their two goals scored within two minutes of each other. The first goal came off the foot of Gabriel Marchesoni, beating the keeper.

The second goal was a screamer sent in by Harry Cook.

The Saints did allow a goal in the second half, but held strong defensively to hang onto the win.

The Saints next take on St. Olaf on Saturday.
