CSS softball earns first conference win, splitting with St. Olaf
On Saturday, the College of St. Scholastica softball team found themselves with their first conference win for the season on their home opener against St. Olaf, splitting the doubleheader series.
In game one:
The Saints would gain momentum in the fourth inning, when Victoria Nelson would rip a double into right center field, bringing Katelyn Hackman home. But their momentum would not be enough to take down the Oles, who would take the lead in the top of the sixth to take the game 2-1.
In game two:
There would only be one run to cross home plate all game, and that would come in the bottom of the eighth inning. Katelyn Hackman would drive a single into right center field, sending Emma Bolin racing home. CSS would take game two in its final moments 1-0.
CSS will return to battle Carlton College on Sunday, April 13th at 1PM and 3PM, click here to view their full season schedule.
