CSS softball squanders lead, gets swept by Augsburg
CSS softball can't hold off Augsburg dropping home opener
After a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first, the CSS softball team couldn’t hold it together, falling to Augsburg 4-2 on Tuesday.
In the bottom of the first, Lauren Laviano’s sacrifice fly was enough to score Emma Bolin to put the Saints on the board first, and Aislind Dail would single to bring in Grace Hadlich.
However, that would be the end of the scoring for the Saints.
The Saints would allow two runs in the top of the third, which would tie the game, and then two more in the top of the fifth to lose the lead.
CSS also fell in their second game of the doubleheader, 2-0.
The Saints will look to bounce back against St. Olaf on Saturday.
